Knowing you have hypertension or high blood pressure is important. It is never too late to getting to know “you”.
Back In 2011, I start to get notice that I have high blood pressure. Everytime that I pay visited with my Gynae, they will take blood pressure on me. It was always on high side but the nurses or my doctor do not pay attention to it. I trusted them and not saying any comments as I trust their professionalism.
In 2012, I went to Thailand and have my annual check-ups done. I was brought to a special room in Bumrungrad hospital. There was an expert and we had a good talk about my work and all of the kind of how I live my life sort of thing…
Then I realize how my life was in danger when she ask me if do I want to take a pill to lower my blood pressure and that once I start, it will be forever. No wonder I always have pain on my shoulder and a bad haeadache. I just ignore it by going for a massage almost everyday.
High Blood Pressure? Serious? Not in my family has it. Why should I?
Paying attention to our body is so important! (Please you do not IGNORE YOUR BODY! Do Not Ignore if you are unwell. Don’t think you can save your money by not going for check-up. You will spend more if it gets to worse).
Get yourself a BLOOD MONITORING APARATUS which you can check your blood pressure from time to time. I it is so good to know.
I refused and I said I can make it go away, I came back to Singapore, made a plan on what I need to do. It took me awhile to get started. Then, met a customer for my photography business, good looking in his physique. As usual I like talking to my customers. This customer of mine was very kind enough to encourage and guide me what to eat and what is NOT.
This was back only in January 2013, I started to avoid food such as: Deep fried food, Refined Carbo and Full Fat Dairy Products as well as alcohol ( not totally as I mingle and go out with drinker friends).
I began to really listen and get focus on my plan, my daily diet was to eat 4 to 5 x a day. My friend recommend to eat 6 to 7 x per day in smaller amount but I have no time for it. (still say no time) bad habbit when you say.. you have no TIME for your health?)
No rubbish snacks. Eat Kiwi or apple or a banana when feeling hungry in between.
Wholegrain Oatmeal with Greek non fat Yogurt plus some blue berries sometimes with a little honey to taste. I do have SEA SALT to taste but not often. I have it season to my fish and squeeze of lemon.
For my carbo after long walk, I have brown rice or sweat potato. These are good carbs.
Grilled chicken breast no skin with no salt, loads of green salad with no dressings or just steam broccoli.
Griiled Salmon or tuna with loads of green salad – no dressings is really good for people who is having a symptom of high blood pressure.

Ever since Equal sweetener has been approved, thousands of complaints has been sent to the FDA, but not much has been done about them. A lot of these complaints involve serious side effects, such as headaches, abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness, temporary blindness, mood changes and shakes.
Why not to add sugar?
“A drink you buy at Starbucks could contain up to 25 teaspoons of sugar per serving, according to a new report by British campaign group Action on Sugar. That’s three times the amount of sugar in one can of Coke, and more than three times the maximum adult daily intake recommended by the American Heart Association…. When you are consuming sugar in hot drinks, it’s easy to drink a large volume of liquid in a short time, and any sugar it contains is very rapidly absorbed into the body. It would, for example, be much harder to consume the same amount of sugar if it was in the form of rice. It’s one of the particular problems with sugary hot drinks… “you have a spike in sugar levels in the blood — and as everyone knows, what goes up must come down. The pancreas releases lots of insulin in response. A very high rise and rapid fall of sugar in the bloodstream may be bad for health – it may put you at risk… of laying down of fat under the skin and, more worryingly, in the guts, liver and pancreas.”
What is my motivation to avoid all that?
I love being sexy me.
I did lost a few fats, from 60 Kilos I went down to 52 kilos in just 2 months. My customers and friends were surprize! I also notice that I need to tone my body as I lose weight, my skin get hanging. I go for a walk every morning for an hour or more, depends on my time.
Now, my BP (blood pressure) is very normal. I weight 49 to 50 KLS.
By the way I stand 5 feet and 2 inches tall. Lol! Imagine if I am 60 Kilos heavy? How will I look?
I feels great because my friends said I look good as I get older.
It is about decipline to oneself. I am worried for so many friends I knew they just died and leave thier young children and beautiful good looking husband or wife behind.
It is never too late to keep fit for your love ones.
